My dad wasn't the only adult that sparked my love of fishing, I also had free reign over the Clayton's Family Pond. I knocked on their door one day and just asked if I could fish and if they needed help with anything while I was there. I spent whole summers on that pond learning how to bass fish and how the smaller ecosystem works. The education I received at that pond is invaluable.
Without my dad and the Clayton's I might be doing something completely different today. Because of all this I feel I have to pass on my experiences to the next generation. I hope that this will also motivate you to take a kid fishing or if you have a pond let a kid fish.
Do you remember who was the very first person to take you fishing or maybe where you went? I would like to hear the stories to help motivate everyone to take a kid fishing this year.
